How to make Cupcake Toppers by ©MonkeyHutDesigns

(Using Party Circle Craft Shapes printable: Peek-a-Boo Monsters shown in sample)

Supplies needed:
*Paper Cutter/Trimmer or scissors Scotch tape, AVERY All-Purpose Labels (round stickers), glue dots, glue stick or glue tape
*Printer & ink
*White card stock for printable and/or other colors if adding layers
*Lollipop sticks, stir sticks* (like from Starbucks), popsicle sticks, straws**, or toothpicks (note: *If using stir sticks, need wire cutters to cut sticks in half. **If using straws, you will need scissors to cut straws to desired size.)
* 2″ craft punch (I have the Fiskars X-Large Round ‘n Round – highly recommended) 2” and/or 2-1/2” Scallop craft punch (optional)

1. For best results, print your Party Tags Craft Shapes onto white card stock (110 weight) at 100% (no scaling) at your printer’s highest quality. (For stickers, use sticker paper sheets.)

2. Cut into columns as close to the edge as possible. The circle punch can only reach so far.

3. Center design and punch with a 2” circle/round punch or simply cut out as squares. The square can be used for favor tags, hang tags (punch a tiny hole & add ribbon), or stickers, also.

Samples using different punches: For a nice touch using a double layer look, attach a 2-1/2” round scallop punch to the back of a 2” round/circle punch with glue tape, glue dots, or a glue stick.

4. Attach lollipop sticks, coffee stir sticks (cut in ½ using a wire cutter & attach cut end), popsicle sticks, straws (cut to desired size) or toothpicks using scotch tape or Avery all-purpose round labels/stickers to the back-side of toppers. Tacky glue works just as well, too. A glue stick will also work fine with the stir sticks.

For a more dimensional look, attach a 2-1/2 round scallop punch (any coordinating color) on the back side of your stick and the 2” circle to the front (as in the 2nd one from the right.) Glue dots or tacky glue work well for this.

And VOILA, you're done and have some pretty cute cupcake toppers! Thank you for stopping by...hope this was helpful!!!
